Waking up to that happy little face but watching it fade as you’re walking out the door? As life is returning to normal, our doggies are no longer having their owners close by everyday giving them all those cuddles and attention.

This is why Barking Mad has recently opened a place where you can be sure your pet is receiving all the cuddles and attention they had been receiving at home with the bonus of also making new doggie friends at Doggie Daycare!

These days, dogs are spending more time with people than they do with each other and it’s amazing how a dog can become our best friend! But have you ever thrown a bunch of dogs and puppies in a room together and watched their excitement to meet another one of them?!

Barking Mad Pet Boutique has made this an everyday possibility for dogs, creating a little playschool for doggies where they can interact with each other, develop new skills through brain games and activities and learn how to walk with a group of dogs! Sounds like dog heaven, right?

More importantly, our staff are dog lovers who will also ensure your pets everyday needs are met. Upon arrival, the doggies’ harnesses and leads are placed in their own little box with their name on it, along with any other belongings you bring for them! If they have a favorite jumper or toy be sure to bring it along!

During the day the doggies are brought on long walks where they can tire themselves out, play on the grass and meet other dogs! Many dogs from daycare have made great pals with the passing by dogs and won't leave until they get to say hello!

It's usually a "omg is that who I think it is" look followed by sniffing around and lots of happy faces! It really makes their day when they meet regular dogs which is why walks are so so important! Not only do they get healthy exercise and use up their energy but they also learn to socialize with other dogs and learn how to behave in a doggie social setting.

It's no wonder the whole Blackrock area is filled with dogs, they create the best atmosphere! If you haven't been here, be prepared that everywhere you go you'll be sure to come across lots of common dog breeds like Cockapoos, Cockapoos and Labs and less common ones like mini-shnauzers and mini-dachshounds!

But if there is anywhere in Ireland you'll come across breeds you've never seen before it's Blackrock! Barking Mad is learning about new exotic dog breeds every day as the people of Blackrock are starting to bring the most unique dogs in store!

Doggie Day Care currently has 20 dogs consisting of Cockapoos, Cockatzus, mini dachshunds, mini Shnauzers, French Bull-dogs, King- Charles and Bichon Frizes!

• Nika (sweet and always always excited to see you)
• Maggie (Feisty and wants all of the attention)
• Theo ("all beds are mine but i love you all")
• Ziggy (yes.. another one!! Super genuine!)
• Koda (the smiler!)
• Emma (referred to as Emma the jumper)
• Max (Maxiee.. always soo happy!!)
• Teddy (totting around bundle of joy!!"

You can imagine that with the doggie crew above there is never a boring day at Doggie Day Care!! With so much bursts of energy, excitement and different dog personalities everyone has so much fun getting to know one another!!

After all this excitement comes time for a snooze. It’s surprising how doggies will copy each other! Once one of them is feeling tired, the rest sense it’s nap time and in no time, everybody is fast asleep! Here, we have plenty of beds and blankets for your doggie to feel right at home and have a snooze at sleepy time. Of course, we have nice relaxing music playing in the background to ensure a good rest ;)

After a full day of playing, cuddling, learning, snacking, and making new doggie connections, your beloved pets are prepared for home time.

This means harnesses and jackets back on, doggie day care report cards ready and final time for cuddles!
